Asksms Soft Solution built the Android Mobile app as an Open Source app. This service is provided by Asksms Soft Solution at no cost and is intended for use as is. Our application accesses the device's location information when the user enables the location-sharing feature. Location access is used to provide real-time vehicle/bus tracking functionality.
When location sharing is enabled, the application may access:
* Precise location (latitude and longitude)
* Speed
* Direction/heading
* Date and time of the latest location update
Location information is used solely to provide the application's real-time vehicle tracking functionality. The location information is used to:
* Display the vehicle's current location on the map.
* Provide real-time vehicle/bus tracking to authorized users.
* Update the vehicle's current location as the vehicle moves.
The application may access location information while running in the background when the user has enabled the location-sharing feature and granted the required location permissions.
Background location access is required to continue updating the vehicle's current location when the application is not actively displayed on the device.
The application collects location updates only while the location-sharing feature is active. The user can stop location sharing at any time through the application.
The application does not maintain or store a historical record of the user's location movements.
When location sharing is active, the latest location information is sent to our backend database to provide the real-time tracking service. As a new location update is received, the current location information is updated/replaced with the latest available information.
The database is therefore used to maintain the current/latest vehicle location required for the live tracking functionality and is not intended to maintain a historical route or location history.
The current vehicle location may be displayed to authorized users who are permitted to access the vehicle tracking functionality.
We do not sell location information to third parties and do not use location information for advertising or targeted advertising purposes.
Depending on the device and operating system, the application may request permission to access:
* Precise location
* Background location
* Foreground location service
These permissions are required to provide the real-time vehicle tracking functionality.
Users can manage or revoke location permissions at any time through their device settings. Disabling the required location permissions may prevent real-time vehicle tracking from functioning.
